The effective response of a school district to a critical incident begins with incorporating “reunification” into the school safety plan. Many school districts and public safety agencies are under-prepared to manage the incident, manage reunification, and manage the overwhelming response from the community. The learning objectives from this session include a discussion of key considerations in developing the reunification plan, a discussion of integral relationships between agencies and schools, and a “Must Do” in making the plan a reality.
