A New Look

Campus Security & Life Safety has been an ever-evolving brand since 2013. Over the years, the publication has gone through several name, format and frequency changes.

In 2016, it was decided that campus security was a topic that needed to be addressed in a more in-depth way than a supplement inside its parent magazine, Security Today. It was a topic that deserved to have its own platform, editor and website.

In 2017, CSLS became its own independent magazine, starting with five issues a year. There was such great reception to this new publication and the solutions it focused on that we realized there was more story to tell and upped the ante to six issues a year.

In 2018, CSLS began to evolve into the magazine you are looking at today. The new look of the magazine is our way of telling the readers how dedicated our team is to this publication, topic and the learned ability to prevent tragedies on campuses through effective strategies, solutions and help from each other.

In addition to the new modernized look, the CSLS team has been deploying one-day summits to bring the important and vital information published in the magazine to life. To date, over 400 campus security professionals have trusted CSLS to bring them vital information at our Summits. In 2019, we plan to visit Houston, Chicago, Atlanta and Long Beach, Calif. If you are in one of these areas, or know someone that is, please visit campuslifesecurity.com/summit.

The CSLS brand has been instrumental in bringing campus security and safety professionals the ever-changing information needed to keep a campus environment safe. It is our goal to be a resource guide and sounding board for you with even more opportunities to engage with the brand than ever before including the website, CampusLifeSecurity. com, industry directory and educational webinars.

I hope this publication adds to the conversation by presenting products, solutions and thought-provoking articles that can help to change the way we think about campus security—whether that is at a college, university, K-12 campus, corporate campus or medical facility or hospital.
