Shooting at Alabama High School Stadium Leaves 10 Injured

The shooting, which occurred Friday night, left five teenagers in critical condition.

Ten teenagers were injured during a shooting that occurred at an Alabama high school football game on Friday.

Mobile police arrested 17-year-old Deangelo Parnell Saturday morning, and he is being charged with nine counts of attempted murder.

Five of the injured teenagers are in critical condition, WPMI reported. All are expected to live.

Police are still trying to put together a motive, however, his friends believe Parnell wanted to protect himself from getting bullied, WPMI reported.

"It is sad that something like this happened at a high school football game, where our athletes were having a good game on the field," Rena Phillips, Mobile County Public Schools System

spokeswoman, said in a statement on the shooting."We do not know all of the details as this is a Mobile Police investigation, so we will have to refer all further questions to the MPD.”
