Bullying and controlling behaviors don’t just happen in elementary and middle school; they also happen in the adult world of the work place environment and on college and university campuses. You will learn what these behaviors look like and why we should be concerned when they appear. Many of these behaviors occur in the setting of dating or personal relationships where one party attempts to control the other. The role of bystanders and the various strategies and ways a witness to these behaviors can intervene will be explored and discussed as well as formal institutional remedies to address and hold accountable individuals on campuses who act out in these ways.
